Family Mediation Team

Originally from Devon, Stephen has lived and worked in Dorset for over thirty years during which time he has built up a vast general knowledge of the area and its people. He is married, has grown up children, step-children and grandchildren and lives in Weymouth.

Stephen has recently trained to be a family mediator after many years working with children and families in the Magistrates and the County Courts system. He is dedicated to the concept of mediation as a means to assist family members to make decisions for their future at a time when their own personal resources may seem stretched to their limits. He firmly believes that mediation offers individuals the opportunity to flourish in their new, changed situations.

Stephen offers a service which covers all aspects of dispute between parents and other family members. This includes property and financial issues and decisions which need to be made concerning arrangements for any children.

In mediation, Stephen always starts from the position that every family is different, has its own dynamics and that each individual within it deserves that its voice be heard.
